Former silk floral designer at Hobby Lobby for 13 years

Freelance silk floral designer

I also write from a Christian perspective and started a blog back in 2009 writing poems with the hope of encouraging women who have been through emotionally abusive marriages and relationships, and I write other things as well.

Presently I also provide loving care for a precious little girl on a part-time basis. In my free time I have been creating paintings so that I can join some art and craft shows in the Chicago area starting this spring in order to connect with local artists and to bring some joy into people's lives with my paintings.

I am a self-taught photographer who loves macro photography and taking candid photos of children, as well as waterfalls, swans, flowers, butterflies, and the night sky. When I'm behind my camera I love capturing the beauty of God's creation in creative ways.

I am excited about my new adventure into acrylic art! Last year I started creating acrylic pouring art: tree ring pours, flip cups, swipes, string pulls. Now I am captivated by modern abstract art and delicate abstract art using a catalyst wedge to create thin colorful, vibrant layers of paint that look like chiffon scarves flowing in a breeze!
